This is a beautiful little period home

located at "MilnerGardens" https://www.mala.ca/milnergardens/

It was an original homestead, but I think that this little home belonged to the gardener or something! I love going here to steep my sole in the sun dappled garden laced grounds! I really hope to have something as beautiful as this on the nearly 3 acres at Fourneau! I have a great deal of work ahead!

What every girl wants...a walk in closet of course!

This is the master bedroom with the walls for the new walk-in closet being formed! There was no better place for it since the walls meet the celing everywhere! I think it will be great, and will be able to hold a lot of shoes!

My husband & I have been working extremely hard, day & night on the walls. We can't stand to see scratches, scrapes, & dents of any sort so we have been dilligently filling them all. What I hate the most is the sanding! There is nothing worse than drywall dust!

My husband has tracked down the guy who did all of the knockdown in our home on the mountain. He did a fabulous job at a great price! casperdrywall@hotmail.com. Again, great job! the place looks like a million bucks with the beautiful celings! After I primed and painted them three times no less! Ouch! I think im gonna be buff!

Well my husband has had to take a trip back home to fill in and get the job done! Way to go Craig, way to go!

It has been a busy time leading up to the possesion date! We had a few snags regarding the septic fields. Apparantly they were inspected last year by the local Health Authority, but were in need of new everything this year! of course unexpected costs are always a bummer, yet our fabulous realtors actually gave us 5k to help cover costs! You can't get a better realtor than that folks!

A kitchen to inspire!

I have been searching for ideas and images of beautiful kitchens in Victorian homes. Well this has got to be one of my favorite kitchens in the whole world. This kitchen is actually a set that was used in the movie Practical Magic. It is very french country and I think it will be a great inspiration to the renovations I will do. Unfortunately I can not find any large pictures of it on the web. I guess that It was a feature in the 1998 October edition of "Victoria Magazine". I guess that I will have to use my imagination on the really small details!

New Home

My husband and I have recently purchased this beautiful home. The previous owners have built it from the ground up (with the help of a few contractors). He builds & refurbishes boats for a living (also an out of work fisherman). They finally ran out of steam and funding and had to sell it. It has been on the market for quite some time i guess.
My husband (Craig) & I came across it by accident. We had looked at every available 4-3 bedroom home in the area but this one even though it was kinda run down and scared away a lot of people, something about it appealed to both of us! Me being an interior designer/artist, and him having his own concrete cutting/excavation business. (Aztec Concrete Cutting & Coring Ltd.) We were the perfect buyers!
When we finally take possession on the last day of June 2010. I will record all that we will do and go through to make this the most beautiful home around!

INSPIRE!

This page is mainly to help inspire myself and others who enjoy Interior Design and Art in general. I hope to be able to create a wonderful page open to many creative people.
